Safety & Operation Guide
MisterSkeeter is here to help you reclaim your yard—without bugging you or your family. Before you gear up, take a moment to read these quick safety tips. They’ll keep you, your pets, and your space protected so you can spray with confidence and enjoy the outdoors bite-free.
Safety Information
- Outdoor use only. Never operate MisterSkeeter indoors or in poorly ventilated spaces.
- Check your blower. Ensure your leaf blower is in safe working condition before attaching MisterSkeeter, and always follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
- Mind the mist. Never point the blower or MisterSkeeter nozzle toward people, pets, or fragile objects.
- Use only approved solutions. Always read and follow the pesticide product label for mixing, application, and safety precautions. The label is the law.
- Review before you spray. For safer and smarter application, consult our DIY Pesticide Guide before mixing or misting.
- Keep away from kids and pets. Store all equipment and solutions securely.
Step 1: Fill the Canister
Unscrew the cap and add the recommended amount of water and approved pest-control solution. Don’t overfill—leave a little “wiggle room” for air so the MisterSkeeter can build proper spraying pressure. Our tank has convenient graduated fill lines at 1/2 gal, 1 gal, and 2L + 4L. Tighten the cap securely and double-check all connections.
Step 2: Prime the Pump
Use the hand pump to build pressure in the canister. Pump until you feel resistance—that’s your cue that the MisterSkeeter is ready to take flight.
Step 3: Attach to Leaf Blower & Power Up
Clip MisterSkeeter onto your leaf blower with the nozzle aimed into the blower’s airflow. This sends the fine mist right into the breeze for maximum coverage. Then, fire up your leaf blower following the manufacturer’s instructions—steady speed equals steady skeeter-defense.
Step 4: Mist the Area
With the blower running, hold the trigger to release the mist as you walk the perimeter.
Keep a smooth, steady pace—like mowing the lawn—for even coverage over grass, bushes, and shady spots where mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas love to hide.
Pro tip: mosquitoes often nap under leaves during the day, so mist beneath as well as above.
Step 5: Monitor, Refill & Store
Check the canister periodically and refill when needed. When you’re finished:
- Detach MisterSkeeter from the blower.
- To help keep the nozzle in it best working order clear the supply line and nozzle by holding the canister upside down and squeezing the trigger until only air comes out.
- Upright the canister, then safely release extra pressure by pulling the relief valve (opposite the supply line).
And that’s it—mission skeeter-complete! Your MisterSkeeter is ready for storage until the next sortie against the winged (and crawling) invaders!
